Katie Piper's Extraordinary Journey

From Acid Attack Survivor to Advocate

A four-part documentary series follows Katie Piper's progress since a horrific acid attack destroyed her face in 2008.

Katie Piper has gained the confidence to move out of her parents' home and into her own place. The British model, who was disfigured in a 2008 acid attack, has been living with her parents since the attack. But now, she says, she's ready to take the next step in her life.

"I've been living with my parents for the past few years, and it's been great," Piper said in a recent interview. "But I'm now at a point where I feel like I'm ready to move on and live independently. I'm excited about the future and what it holds for me."

Piper's journey has been inspiring to many. She has used her platform to speak out against violence against women and to help other survivors of acid attacks. She has also launched her own foundation, the Katie Piper Foundation, which provides support to victims of burns and disfigurement.

The documentary series, which airs on ITV, will follow Piper as she navigates the challenges of living with a disfigurement. It will also show the work that she does through her foundation.
